New Playlist Additions

If you’re not subscribing to our Indian Summer playlist, then you’re sleeping on some kick-ass new tunes with some essential classics sprinkled in. Click this link and “follow” Indian Summer. Here’s a highlight of a few recent additions and the full spotify playlist below:

Alabama Shakes – “Gimme All Your Love”

Ok, you got me. The whole point of this post is to highlight this song in particular. It’s fucking beautiful. Brittany Howard is incomprehensibly amazing and has more soul than any singer this side of Sharon Jones. Also, check out their performance of “Gimme All Your Love” on SNL. All the feels.

The Districts – “4th & Roebling”

Wow….Crazy Strokes vibes here from this PA band. This is a killer jam.

Aly-Us – “Follow Me”

I got put on to this track when I interviewed Adam Bainbridge of Kindness for SF Weekly. He talked about the influence of Detroit house pop bangers and I’ve had days where this track is on repeat for an hour.

Outkast – “Slump”

So I had a mild procedure on my stomach last week and they put me under for like 30 mins on some wonderful drugs. When I came to, the beeping of the hospital machines made me think of this song by Outkast…Someway, somehow. They must’ve thought I was crazy when the first thing that came out of my mouth upon awakening was “That beeping reminds me of Outkast, do you have Aquemini?” (They didn’t)

Geographer – “Need”

Kinda in love with the first single from SF’s Geographer’s upcoming album Ghost Modern, out on 3/24 on RollCall Records.

What you waitin’ for ? Follow Indian Summer on Spotify and get updates when new tracks are added. Peace.
